A Little Information about This Little Bird

Ameraucana Bantams are a small version of their larger counterparts, the standard Ameraucana. Weighing in at under 30 oz., these small birds are easy to handle and make good show animals as well as pets.

Their small size makes them an easy bird to transport to and handle at shows. These birds are a rare breed to find at shows, so if you want something different, this is your breed!

Since these birds are a somewhat rare breed, eggs, chicks, and adult birds tend to fetch high prices and require small living spaces.

The only thing I can say bad about these birds is that they tend to be flighty if they aren't handled frequently. Besides that they make amazing pets! The rooster's crow is comparatively quiet versus the standard breed. So, as long as they are kept somewhat away from the house, they won't wake the whole neighborhood up every morning. Their tiny blue eggs are some of the most fun eggs to collect every day, and did I mention that they are so cute?
